It can be a virus, or the failure of the motherboard (rarely), but the most possible is that you need a new battery to the motherboard _________________ The main difference between bots and me that bots dont want your blood.

if its battery then it would say:CMOS RAM battery error The CMOS RAM battery is faulty or the CMOS RAM is bad. Replace the battery if possible...
i would suspect this:Keyboard Controller BIOS tests the internal operations of the keyboard controller chip (8042). Failure here is normally due to the keyboard chip
or this:The keyboard controller IC is faulty or the keyboard is faulty. Replace the keyboard, if problem still persists, replace the keyboard controller IC _________________ bite me and ill bite back. |

Normaly Bios Checksum Error comes when u installed a fresh new Mainboard so it is virgin. (fresh sealed mainboard and installed it 1st time.)
When u start the PC take a look at the keyboard on "Num-Lock" signal. When its blinking one time at the boot the keyboard is ok. When now the error apear try to press the "Num-Key" to check the signal - when it goes fine the keyboard is ok.
Next try is to reset the Bios directly at the mainboard. U must switch a smal jumper on the mainboard but i can't say where u can find it. _________________

Agree with Appu!
Also had the problem in the past but here it was a cable that wasnt in place! So I put the cable in it's place no error on start. But this happens years ago and I cant say
which cable it was...
Maybe a new reason to meet up at Fluffe's home and do some
Tec-Check!
Bring some BEER!
Hope it works soon Boss!

Checked it !
If the Batterie is empty then your PC should BEEP without a break... BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP and so on.
If the Bios chip is not totaly crashed it could be that the system starts after 10-60 minutes (But thats no solution)
If you have a Bootdisk with memtest on it you can test you memory this could also cause this kind of failure but I don't think that the mem is the reason.
If all that will not work we have to organize a new Mainborad Boss. I will give you a few Bucks (donation) to support you and our clan! Just say a word!

The Prob is that an error apears. Normaly u need the keyboard to bypass the error with the function key like F1 or F2.
But the keyboard isn't respondig so he can't get trough the error code as a result of that the pc isn't booting. No Floppy no HDD. _________________
