For the benefit of all concerned, let me first of all clarify what a "sysdump" is. When your game crashes, it writes the contents of the dump to a normal text file and names it "sysdump.txt". The data recorded is a transcript of what took place at the time the game crashed. Unless you're a programmer yourself, you won't understand what that data means so there's no point in keeping the file unless you particularly want to. Leaving it in place won't do your system any harm though.
So now to the causes. Practically anything can cause the game to crash from outdated video drivers to a poorly configured system. Other applications running in the background may also interfere with the game and cause it to crash. It's very difficult to pin these things down to specific programs and all you can really do is to make sure that you don't have any unnecessary applications running in addition to the game. For example, if you're running anti-virus in the background, the program may try and update itself by downloading the latest DAT files. That process may require more bandwidth than is available and so it tries to 'borrow some' from the game causing that to crash.
Running additional programs in the background also applies to applications like FRAPS and Teamspeak. FRAPS only runs locally, but it's an application which builds a movie from frames in the same way the game does. That process requires a lot of processing power and if your system is at the lower end of the scale and is short on resources, then the game may crash in order to allow FRAPS to run.
Teamspeak opens three connections in order to run which depletes your precious upstream capacity. Consumer xDSL packages vary, but generally speaking, you'll only have between 256Kbps and 1024Kbps/sec to play with. If your connection falls into the lower end of the scale, then the game may suffer if there aren't enough resources to so round.
You can protect yourself to some degree by prioritizing resources to the game instead of dividing them equally among all the applications. To do that follow these instructions:
1. Launch the game, login, but don't join a server yet.
2. ALT+TAB to exit to the desktop without shutting down the game.
3. Right click a blank part of the Taskbar and go to "Task Manager".
4. In the Processes list that you see, find the game (JointOps.exe), right click it and choose "Set Priority" from the menu.
5. Choose the "High" setting.
6. Close Task Manager and then ALT+TAB again to rejoin the game.
Unfortunately there isn't a permanent way of setting priorities and you'll have to repeat the same steps the next time you play.
Oh, and don't ever choose "Realtime" from the priority options or you'll crash your PC.
Hope this helps. _________________ bite me and ill bite back.

When I got some sparetime again, I might be able to make a program that can set the priority of Joint Ops to high and actually save those data, so you won't have to repeat the process everytime windows starts up again.
I could then upload it to you so everyone could download it for free.
