|
|
| I just bought a 24" monitor and I ain't happy. Can someone tell me how to set the resolution in AW to the highest setting? Nothing looks clear are sharp on this big monitor. When I try to change to 1660 x 900 or any other setting than 1280 x 1024 it wont let me. I definatly need the highest setting possible to try to make the screen playable...btw iI have a geforce 8500 gt card. Any help will be gr8ly appreciated. |

install a driver for the monitor...hm...is it only the monitor that is new?.....Or is it new? Get the newest driver for your graficcard. Here is my setings in AW2 http://www.lundadownload.dinstudio.se/gallery1_17_1.html _________________

Make sure that your monitor will support the resolution you select in game...
It's a bit complicated...
For example:
My 22" Samsung has an native resolution of 1680x1050
This is the resolution it looks "best"
This resolution is not supported by JO so I have to use 1280x1024 which is the next possible setting in JO. Now my monitor has to interpolate his native resolution to this setting (the lower resolution) and it looks real good on my screen...
Some screens have problems with that function the more you "downgrade" them, the bader it looks.
The highest resolution in JO is 1600x1200 if your monitor dont support this you have to use the lower one
Also do the "Videotest" of Novalogic (included in game startmenue) it will show you what resolutions are available with your card and monitor, maybe the card dont support it?
Hope this helps?

| Thanks for all the replies, although the grapics looks better it just seems the AI's at a distance are hazy I dont remember it being that way on a 19" monitor and depending on what video levels I set some settings the AI's run twice as fast |
